Well we finally put all those practices to the test, and what an awesome first tournament we had last weekend.  Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a job well done.  A special “Thank You”, to all of our parents out there chanting “T!V!A!, T!V!A!, T!V!A!”.  Your support means more than you will ever know, to all of us, but especially to the players. 

Every team was able to go home with at least one win, which is awesome since we have so many first time players.  Three of our teams made it to the Gold Division Playoffs on Sunday.  The 17 and 15 National were tied for 5^th and the 16 National lost a grueling three game Championship Match.  The scores (25-27, 36-34, 15-13), are only a small indication of the fight we put up.   In my almost 20 years of coaching, I have never seen a score of 36-34.  It was an incredible privilege and experience to watch and coach such an awesome match played at such a high level.

We have had a couple days to celebrate but now it is time to get back to work.  Five of our teams are playing this weekend in the AAU Volleyball Classic.  Come support the athletes on Saturday and Sunday at the Orange County Convention Center.
